I finally made it back to this blog!  Believe it or not…I actually locked myself out and every time I sat down to reset it I ended up getting up and walking away to do something else.  I got my act together today and decided to break back in after I finished making an update to my soapy blog.

Here is a card that I completed a couple of weeks back 🙂

I love Donuts and I need to stay away from them for health reasons.  One look at this stamp from Simon Says Stamps and I knew I had to try it!

With some help from my Prisma Color Pencils, some cute little silver sequins and some Glossy Effects, I was able to whip up this card together and start craving a donut!

I have a couple of other cards that I have up my sleeve that now I will be able to post.  I hope to get this up later this week.

Thanks for checking out my blog!

My first post! Pink Sudz Paper n Ink

Hello everyone!

I am happy to join this new crafty world!  So far I am loving it and have been learning so much and following as many blogs as possible and checking out tons of videos as well!

I am not new to blogging.  I currently have a soapy blog about making handmade artisan soap.  I just love it!  But drawing and painting has always held a very special place in my heart and just recently it has awaken a sleeping giant in me. I love card making!  I never thought of it as an artistic outlet until I started to check out some of the blogs and videos and decided to try it.

I hope that you allow me to join this newly addicting craft for me and learn from all of you.

To start this new adventure I want to share a card that I recently made with Mama Elephant’s Stamp “Bear Hugs”

It is so cute I just had to try to see if I can make something out of it, and here is my card.

I used copic markers to color the cute bears and used Tim Holtz Salty Ocean for a bit of color in the background.

You may be wondering why so much blank space?  I decided to go a bit larger than the standard handmade card and made it the size of 4.75 x 6.5.

For the grass I used a cute paper from Chickaniddy Crafts: Twirly Girly and cut it with my grass wafer die.

I wanted the bears to pop out a bit and used Glossy Accents for a nice, glossy look.

Topped off with a “Thank You” message on top, I was happy with how my first public card come out!

If this is the first time you have found me, thanks for stopping by and continue to pop in to see how I am doing.

Thank you!

Happy blogging!
